Finland to Build Huge New AI Supercomputer
Europe is investing nearly 400 million euros into a powerful new supercomputer called LUMI-AI. It will be located in Kajaani, Finland, and is set to start running in late 2027.
The system uses the latest AMD chips, including high-end Instinct GPUs and 256-core EPYC processors. This hardware is designed specifically to handle massive AI workloads.
This project will give European scientists better tools for their research. It marks a significant step forward for tech infrastructure in the region.
